No worries, Brother, your money your baby, do as you please. Just ignore the inevitable flames.
Is it synthetic full or partial or conventional? More importantly does it have the minimum zinc your baby needs? How much is it per quart? The FLAPS have VR1 on sale from time to time 50% off $2.49 per quart.

never heard of it,....I'd want to know what's in it before using it.
I'd doubt it would cause "flames".... Doyle

Last time I checked, WallyMao still doesn't make their own oil. I'm not saying that they won't someday, but like other "private" labels, they get their oil from a major oil company to their specs. And as long as they maintain proper specs that comply to current standards, WallyMao oil is as good (or maybe better) than other oils.

Curious to know of it and feedback myself. Even though, for the pittance price difference and its reputation I'm strongly in favor of using Valvoline VR1.
Regarding another synthetic SuperTech product developed for two-strokes, it is superb and so ridiculous cheap! After years of buying factory Mercury oil for a vintage tempered screamin' outboard, I'm convinced the factory oil was all along creating problems. On a whim, I just had to try it (it did specify it was Mercury approved) and holy-crap, that motor started easily, ran smoothly, hadn't changed spark plugs in years and as a bonus, fuel usage was significantly lower. |

Oil can be complicated
Look that Walmart oil is made by one of the big four for sure.
Take the the 20w50, it's fine, the key to oil is changing often, it's over all a cheap product to save a valuable engine. I think using the oil is fine just change more thats with any oil except the very high priced stuff. But do not go to a cheap oil filter, because cheap ones do not have the flow back value. Also, I used Mobil 1 in my Lexus and I do not think it bought me anything. Now the argument against me is oil is cheap the 5 quarts of wally world is say $16, the better or advertise brand is $21, so is 5 dollars a show stopper for you! |

Personally,i wouldn't even use that in my lawnmower ...
Anything that Wallmart buys and sells is cheap as they're out there to make money, lots of it especially if you are buying a mystery brand ! Buying good recommended and proven oil for a 911 is a lot cheaper than an engine rebuild in the long run. Don't get me wrong,i did buy my Mobil 1 15W50 from Wallmart until they stopped selling it in Canada. Cheers ! Phil

So what type of oil is it, Synthetic or Conventional with ZDDP? "up in flames" is not the issue, the engine wear and leaks are, ergo the above question.

I've been using WallyMart Super Tech 5W30 in my 2000 Tundra, my 2005 Suburban and my son's 2007 Titan ever since new and the two older trucks have 150K miles with any problems and zero oil consumption between changes at 3-4K. My pcar gets Brad Penn and I've had no issues with it either.

Walmart??? isn't the the store where you can by bottled water and when you get home it's broke????
So you are trying to save a couple of pennies on the fluid which provides cooling and lubrication??? Penny-wise pound foolish |

Stolen from link above but not specs on 20W50:
Comparison of Super Tech Full Synthetic to Super Tech Dino (FS/Dino) ALUMINUM 0/0 CHROMIUM 0/0 IRON 1/1 COPPER 0/0 LEAD 0/0 TIN 0/0 MOLYBDENUM 2/0 NICKEL 0/0 MANGANESE 0/0 SILVER 0/0 TITANIUM 0/0 POTASSIUM 1/0 BORON 7/7 SILICON 2/2 SODIUM 0/0 CALCIUM 1313/1184 MAGNESIUM 4/4 PHOSPHORUS 412/406 ZINC 490/480 BARIUM 0/1 TBN 7.5/7.8 SUS VISCOSITY @ 210 ºF 63.0/61.5 Flashpoint F 420/405 This was my concern not the cost or the brand of oil. Thanks DO, geez after 16 post ![]() Well, Blackstone states it is better then Penzoil, which is not saying much.

Kendall Gt1 20/50 is a buck cheaper than VR1. VR1 is around 3 bucks cheaper than Brad Penn. If you're looking to save some dough, maybe use Kendall? Conocophillips makes great products, and i believe GT1 has ZDDP (zinc). Ultimately no one should know your car better than you... If super tech is the right match than stick with it no matter what the cost. cheers...
