I'm Planning on being there. I haven't seen a whole lot of response here though. Anyone else out there going to make it? The more we have the better the time. Please respond if you're planning on coming. A pic from the last get-together.

I don't sail on the 55' anymore.
I race on a 69' ULDB now ... (ULDB= Ultra Lite Displacement Boat) I don't own it, I'm just one of the "hired guns" so-to-speak. I'm thinking that we can put Efrain up the mast (95') to watch for pirate's, Sam will be sound man and galley slave(hors d ovrs) while YOU Curtis will be at the helm....... I will have you on video, panning b'tween you and how full you keep the sails. I'll post a video file here on the board so those that "missed the boat" can follow along !! With all that going on, Cris will surely delay his trip back up north...to watch a bunch of P-car nuts try and sail !!!

Anyone up for a drive prior to the BBQ? I don't know where but I bet some of the guys closer to the beach might know a nice canyon for this. Let me know, I have all day!

Some Der Gruppmeisters "instructions" (aka "orders" ) will take just a tad of "massaging" so as to get past my "Boss" , Frau Gloria.. But on a more serious note, she loved the treatment you did to the rear interior of yours, and that is a basis for me to go off of. I'll be takin the interior out real soon....

You don't want me on the mast - the sail would probably become undone (remember my decklid flying open while heading up Angeles Crest?).
See you all Sunday.

I was looking forward to checking out the cars and competing in the story telling, maybe next time. |

did you mean sailing like .... in the water...
Haven't gone out on one for over a year now. Until he had to take it out of the water and put it into dry dock for some repair, a friend of mine kept a vintage 32' wooden sailboat docked in Sausalito. we'd go out and meet for breakfast early Sat morning (about the only time I'd get up early on any Sat morning except for a Porsche gathering of course) then go sailing around S.F. Bay. So let me get this straight, Sam will be in the galley (keeps the boat balanced too ; ) Capt Curt will be at the helm and Efrain, since you're the NG (new guy) you do have to get up on that 95' mast as part of your "initiation rites" into R Grp. keep an eye out for pirates. they're really out there specially in So. Cal.
ME, I'll be the watch for "man overboard"... but then again, who's gonna watch me if I go overboard?.... lets give the NG some more work to earn his rites of passage to r grp. hey Efrain you're other job is to make sure der gruppemeister don't go overboard or gets kidnapped by pirates. hey John, do you think we can paint the R Grp logo on the spinnaker, Sam make sure you bring that big Porsche banner and we'll have the NG hold it while he's up on the mast okay so we're set, the plan is for us to sail north all the way to Alameda where you guys can drop me off (you guys will probably just throw me overboard). There's a dock not more than a 1/4 mile from my house. see you guys soon btw, Efrain after you pass all this, we're gonna make you a "made guy" in R Grp. my "capo" Curt will do the honor
