89 carrera- odd plug engine bay?

Can anyone identify what this plug goes to? It comes off the harness midway between the shock towers. I'd like to figure it out before the engine goes back in! Thanks!

I'm too lazy to go look just now but it could the power connector to the blower that sits on top of the motor.

Wire colors? Is it coming from the engine harness or the body harness?
Could be for a rear wiper, brake light, hood light? Porsche wired their harnesses for all options, could be for something your car doesn't have.

I don't recall seeing it in my '89... maybe for the rear window wiper? (I don't have one, but I suspect the wiring may be there).

That was my guess after the heater blower motor was confirmed accounted for. That plug looks like the type that connects to the older style vaccuum can cruise control pre-1988. The '89 has an electronic unit. Maybe Porsche left the old connector on the wire harness and added a new harness for the revised cruise unit?
