What color is code#156-9-2

I have a 74 911 project car I will be selling soon. The color code is 156-9-2 it is not listed in the info books I have. Here is a car with the color(not mine)Beater '76 911 Would like to know the name of the color for an accurate description. Great color by the way, whatever it is called. Thanks for the help. Free bump for the 76 , do not know if it sold. Looks like a great buy.

1974 Porsche All Models Colors of Touch Up Paint

156 is orange. Not sure what 9-2 stands for.

A ratty 1976 Frankenstein for $12k? The market ain't that strong yet.

On the paint, here is a link for the colors.

http://coloronline.glasurit.com/index.php

Load in
Porsche
1974
Glasurit Line 22

That will spit out the colors. Don't load in your paint code. I do not believe it is correct. You can do the same for 1976 or the range 74-76.

Interesting. If you load in 1976 the 156 does not come up.

paint code

Hey guys, thanks for the info and links. Looking at the 76, that year is a smog headache in California. Not so much in some other areas. Looks like the receipts pictured from 2009 total about $15,000. Hard to read them, but looks like a lot was done. He says it has RS pistons, S cams and I see the Webers. Even with the fiberglass flares, it does not seem like a bad deal to me if the engine is documented and sound?

No argument. Just my opinion given paint, bodywork and interior needs.

156-9-2
156 is Orange (accurate, but surely one of the less descriptive names used by Porsche)
9 is painted by Porsche
2 is Glasurit paint
what is the VIN on this one?

Good info.

I was able to find the 156 color in the glasurit site only if I entered "all" paint lines for the 74 Porsche OR just the 156 in the wild card field.
