ideas for mfi lines and hardware clearcoat

we buffed up the mfi injection lines and hardware on a 72T. We put a coat of wax on them but does anyone have any suggestions for some type of protective coating?
would you recommend a high temperature clear coat? and if so what brand

With the heat involved being on top of a hot engine...I was thinking...does VHT have a clear coat paint?

Best stuff would be the ceramic based clear coat that's applied to plumbing fixtures and brass door hardware.

For longevity, engine parts coatings should be able to resist not only anticipated heat levels, but also to chemicals and solvents found in and around the engine compartment. This includes oil, fuel, brake fluid and cleaning solvents.

In that regard, these products are highly rated:

In addition, these products have good wear characteristics and are available in a variety of colors and clears.

Some are air-dried; some are heat-cured. Depends on your capabilities to prep and apply. There are also shops that do both types.

I used the Eastwood clear but in a few years it yellowed. I stripped the yellowed clear and now just apply WD-40 a few times a year. If they get a little rusty use a mild scrubby.

Steel lines can also be zinc coated (clear), but most places will charge a minimum fee. Suggest having other items processed at the same time.
