Center Console for SC?

One thing that would improve my leisurely driving in my SC would be a center console with at least a single cup holder.

Is such a thing marketed for our cars? If not, has anyone had luck using ones from other cars such as the "hump hugger" made for older mustangs?

Thanks! Dickson

I don't see where you would put a cup holder, in between the seats. The only place you could put a "hump hugger" would be in back, but then that would be out of your reach. I had seen somewhere where some company made a cup holder that stuck into the cigarette lighter. It was merely a place to mount a holder, nothing electric about it. I know that in my car, the driver's map pocket has warped in such a way that I can place a commuter style mug snuggly in it.

Bird automotive had once made a centre console for 911s. NLA now but occasionally you find one on the for sale forum.

12 ounce cans fit in my door pocket. However, a roll of duct tape on the passenger floorboard doesn't slide and has an amazing ability to hold cups upright. I chose red for contrast to the black....

Contigo. It is an awesome mug which you can lay down in the floor or in between the seats and it will never leak. Also great to drink from while driving a stiff suspension on bumpy roads.

I got my wife one because she must have her coffee and I must drive my SC and marital harmony is important.

My car had a little center armrest w/cup holder in it when I bought it. I removed it the same evening I brought the car home...

Not just a Porsche thing - my wife and I do not eat or drink in any of our cars.

Thanks

Just ordered an Air-1 cup holder. That takes care of the liquids issue...

Still working on the arm rest. I've scoured ebay in hopes of finding a salvage console, but I don't think that will work.

Looking into other "custom" (read: rigged by me) options.

for a long road trip I built one just out of plywood. Fits in between the two seats, clears the heat controls and hand brake, holds two coffee cups.....looks like the ugliest piece of crap you've ever seen!!!!!
