Brand new OEM Fuchs wheels

I've been searcing for a nice used set of Fuchs to replace the Phone dials on my car, but I always worry about if the structure of the wheel is in good shape or not.

Well, I went ahead and purchased a new set of 7x16 and 8x16 from the dealership so I thought I'd post pics of them. I haven't seen any threads on them, so I really don't know if there is much interest, but here goes.

Front. Looks pretty much like all the other ones Ive seen. Very nice indeed.

Strangely the sides and the back are painted, whereas all the pics of the "old" Fuchs I have seen have no paint outside of the center.

Back, looks nice too.

So other than telling me I'm nuts for spending extra $$$$$ buying new instead of old what do you think?

Nice, What did the 8's cost you? I'd like to put a set of 8's on the rear of my car and move the 7's up front.

If you search the part numbers for these on Pelican, they come up as special order, 16x7 @ $1481 each, 16x8 @ $1373 each. That has to be in the ballpark, I figure.

And FWIW, my originals are painted black on the back and insides as well.

I paid about $5500 Canadian for them, strangely the 7s were more than the 8s

Whoa, that can't be right can it! I purchased a new set (2) 16x9 approximately five yrs ago from my local Porsche dealer for a total price of $1610.00

Wow!

Curious - Since price was mentioned, why are they so absurdly high? Old tooling, molds, same metallurgy and design have been around for years and thousands have been made. I'll go one more... with the thousands of early 911 owners, some with flawed, road rashed or perhaps have a car with gawed aweful aftermarket and wish to go back to stock, you would think they would have fairly substantial volume request and higher overall sales profit if a set of 4 sold near $1,500. I mean really... are they that special to warrant the current price schedule? No disrespect to the OP, they are beautiful and congrats.
