'73 911T Rear running/Stop Lights Problem
Hi, I am wondering if anyone has ever had the problem described below with the rear red running/stop lights on their 1st gen 911:
With the engine running - With the light switch pushed all the way in (off): No stop lights when brake pressed With the light switch pulled half-way out (parking): No stop lights when brake pressed With the light switch pulled at the way out (on): stop lights work, but no red running lights. Any thoughts on why the stop lights work only when the lights are on and why there are no red running lights (the filaments are good -- I test their continuity with a multimeter). ![]() |

Was the car repainted? Sounds like the driving light and brake light wires are reversed in the lamp housing.
Where are you in Austin?
