73.5 2.4 T Engine Question - Webers

What should I expect from a 73.5 CIS T engine with Webers? Is that a really silly combination or will it tide me over for a while? It's a 7R case and will probably end up a 2.7 MFI screamer some day, but for now that's what I have to replace my tired original '72 MFI motor.

Thanks.

That will give you a nice boost. But you will be limited by the CIS cam, which is very mild.

My 73.5 CIS -> Weber conversion also has S cams and pistons. It screams.

I realize cam replacement is a lot of work, but I'd highly recommend it. Plus you can keep the cams when you do the 2.7 full boat upgrade.
