need help-in process- (plug wire change)

I am in the middle of changing my plug wires to 10mm magnecor wires. The stock wires have some kind of grounding strap coming off each stock wire...not on the magnecor. Do I need to do something here, or are the aftermarket wires different and not need a "ground". I will not reconnect the battery untill I hear from you guys....thanks.

Just remove the braided grounds and chunk 'em with the old wires. You don't need them.
