Neither.

17" Fuchs.
Maybe it's the 18" throwing me off?

I have suffered this dilemma too and would also vote for 17" Fuchs. You can bag a set of new 17" Euromeisters for $600.

didnt really want any heavy kast or replica wheels. I would go BBS over a set of replicas, but I do hear what your saying

I actually had the same dilemma !
I have an 83 sc all black, I wanted to make it stand out a little. It just seemed it was getting lost at the shows......just another all black Porsche in a sea of black Porsches! I ended up going with the BBS rs and have not regretted it at all. My car gets more compliments now and just really looks great.
It was a tough day when I decided to sell the Fuchs though!

17" BBS over the fuchs imo.
can replace the outer shell to custom fit, and 17" has much better tyre availability..

When I bought my car it had gold centered BBS, the dealer swapped them out for Fuchs to make the sale. Fuchs!

I think I know what you are going for, and I believe the bbs will be the best choice, and the better wheel.

You asked for opinions: I think those BBS wheels are ugly. I'd rather have heavy replica wheels than that style BBS wheel. 17" Fuchs with black pedals and polished lips.......

BBS rs all they way, its by far the coolest wheels you can put on car!!! I got a qoute on a set a of 17"s 8,5"/10" and if they hadnīt asked me for close to $7000 for the set...... sadly they where out of my pricerange and i hade to go for remanifactured OZ futura instead.

I have to disagree. Fuchs and BBS look right on all air-cooled cars. What looks fuggly are late model anything modular wheels bolted on to get ultra low profile modern tires installed on these classic.

Jim, if you are going to do BBS wheels you really should consider some E50 Motorsports wheels.
