ISO Alternator tool in Bay Area to borrow

I need to take my alternator out to be rebuilt but I dont have the C tool that holds the pulley in place (or the 24mm socket but those are easy to buy).

Does anyone in the bay area have one I can borrow for a day? The car is in Mill Valley, but I am in Oakland or San Francisco so it would be easiest to pick up there.

I promise return and a six pack!

Depending on which pulley holder you need, they are only $28 or $31 from Pelican.

I know I am ordering one for reassembly, but while I am waiting for it to be mailed I want to get my alternator out asap so I can get it rebuilt, and the fan and housing blasted and painted.

Trying to minimize downtime!

I need the C one that holds the fan pulley mount.

Just a regular 24mm socket? I have a 3/8" drive one, if pickup in Mission Bay or Noe Valley is convenient.

Thanks Cisco, the 24mm socket isnt the problem, its the special single tooth C tool that holds the pully wheel in place so you can break the nut off that I need.

Rich he is, but he is on the east coast.

Without this tool my project is at a standstill and I only need it for 15 seconds. You know how it goes, I have the time at motivation today to get this done and if I dont who knows when I will get back to it. A few days waiting for a tool and parts becomes weeks waiting for the next chance to get to it!

Ok, I would but I'm in the opposite direction. Try Parts Heaven in Hayward. They're a pick and pull type operation for just Porsches. They'll have it cheap and right now for you.
