Please show me your deck lid grille
I would like to get rid of the standard plastic grille on my modified 3.2.
Looking for something which matches better with the race optic of the rest of the car. |

You mean a 'real' grill, as in 'older', or something fabbed up? 'Optic' is in regards to your eye, so hard to know....

Here's mine. Nesslar was the man that sold it to me, and a little goo gone removed the black paint to make it shine.

HJT911,
I have been using aluminum bevel washers and allen-drive, flat-head, c'sk in black anodized finish mostly, but can provide whatever hardware you like. If you are interested...pm me with your email address and I'll send you more information. regards, al

Completely Stock from my '74. The anodization has worn down so it's looking a little purple these days. I plan to get it re-anodized black in the near future.

The surround is a purpose made item that must have the attaching screws welded to it. Extremely clean and that center strip makes it look more than home made.

Maybe Rob knows whose car this is. Could be his ST right beside the white car. |

I bought a used grill for my 911 1970 from DC Automotive in 2011. I completely disassembled it, painted the mesh satin black and straightened up and polished the aluminum trims. I did not know these aluminum trims were numbered until I polished a couple of those because they have very tiny engraved numbers.
I know it is not a race type but still a good option, so here are a couple of pics: ![]() ![]() Last edited by Jose_JGC; 01-01-2015 at 11:44 AM.. |
