Transmission fluid amount

How much transmission fluid does an 81 911SC hold? Is one gallon of Swepco enough to fill it? If not, can you top it off with other oil?

I'm thinking the transmission might hold a little more than a gallon, but I hate to buy another $38 gallon of Swepco when I'll only use a little bit of it.

There is usually a bit left in the container post-fillup of the 915. You will be fine with the one container.

Remember to pull the fill plug first, then the drain plug! And check your shift fork mountings when the trans is drained.

It takes a little more than 3 quarts.

I just changed my tranny oil after my drain plug experience with Swepco 201 and it used jsut over 3 quarts. I've got to tell you that I am amazed with the performance of the Swepco. No more man-handling the chift from 1st to second anymore. All shifts seem to be much smoother. Swepco is definitely worth the money. Just my $.02
