I found this on a post..
I'd say that after reading this ... you'd have to have a rev limiter iin that thing.. So maybe you still had a bit to go ...

Lee, for what it's worth...on an old 911S, it's built into the rotor...you just bend the tab the spring hooks to in order to bring the limit up or down.

Thanks Dennis,
But it seems that .. well Dave and i were playing with each other and yesterday and having rolling starts to see who could pull a lead and while doing so Dave said he hadn't noticed but when he looked down he was into the 8k in RED!!! before shiftin and he said he didn't feel the car cutt out like it was bumping anything .. i.e. REV LIMITER.. I have a fuel cut off in the SC I think but he wasn't sure if his was working... any ideas as to what may have happened given that little bit of info???
