How do you replace fog light bulb????

Looked simple until I got the lens off and pulled the bulb out only to find that the bulb wire went inside the reflector and I couldn't get the reflector off to unhook it. Tried unbolting the back behind the spoiler but that just seems like an adjustment. Must be something I'm missing here. I know it has to be simple, right?

With the lens off, the reflector should just pull out. The wires should be accessable from the back side of the reflector. How did you pull the H-3 bulb out without pulling the reflector?

Which fog lights do you have? The SC style or the recessed Carrera style? If you have the Carrera style, there is a wire clip on the back that holds the bulb in. You just un-clip it and the bulb slides out.

Hope this helps.

The reflector doesn't pull out. My car is a Carrera and the fogs are recessed into the valence but not attached to it.. There is a big bolt on the back. When I loosened it, the housing swiveled.

I also have a Carrera. The reflector will pull out, but probably has lots of crude holding it in. Just try wiggling it a bit. The bolt on the back is the main mounting bolt for the lamp.

the lens comes off by undoing the two screws (one long, one short), allowing you access to the reflector and the bulb.

in addition to the accumlated crud, the reflector is ALSO held in place by a single tab at the bottom (the tab is part of the housing and sticks UP into the reflector. You have to work the reflector loose from the top and pull it forward slightly so you can then pull the entire reflector up off the tab.

Once you've freed the reflector, turn it around. the h3 bulb is held in place by a paper-clip type mount (how's that for a technical description.). Undo it (squeeze both sides together) and the bulb comes out. Just disconnect the electrical connector and pop in the new one. Remember not to touch the halogen bulb.
