two fold, catalytic delete questions

i removed my catalytic converter last week and and installed a stainless delete and new o2 sensor......please forgive me, tree huggers.
i have noticed more throttle response and aliitle throatier sound. the problem seems to be that it is running alittle hotter on the oil temp now, and the idle feels alittle rougher.
in short, do you think a SW chip will help? i also have an KN filter with a few one inch knockouts in the air box. steve would set up the new chip for this. would it make a difference?
the higher temps are surprising, and i know many don't recommend some of the changes, but what do you think in a nutshell. btw may i add, that previously the o2 sensor was not hooked up by the PO.
oh and don't be a hater, thanks for your input.

You need to change out to, at least, a sport exhaust if you add a chip. O2 was disconnect for some reason, prob not a good reason. Plug it back in and see how it idles. A ton of info for your 3.2, just do a search and you will find more info than you hope you need, including a DIY test for the O2 sensor. I'm a hatter of Ethanol!!

Keep the O2 sensor. The increased oil temp is due to the engine now running too lean. A SW chip will help richen it up and improve mid range punch.
