tool kit inventory
Does anybody know of a list that details the content of a factory tool kit? I think I have a complete kit but some of the pieces look like extras. Any thoughts?

It would save a considerable amount of time if you stated what year and model car your question concerned ... in your initial post, in the future!
Your owners manual has a list and picture of the tools in the kit ...

Wow, searching the forum does work! Except for when the thread starter never followed up
![]() I just won this auction and received the kit, and it looks pretty complete but I'd like to be sure (I checked the owners manual and it does not say): Also, there's a considerable amount surface rust on the tools and I was wondering how I should go about taking it off. Is there a simple way to attack this job? This could be a fun turkey day project

At the Early 911 S BBS, there is the thread to end all threads on early car tool kits. Try here.

What is in tool kit for 1983 911 SC?
Hope I linked this thread properly. Bob put in a picture and listed what I think are all the the pieces for his tool kit. I had this same question for my 83SC recently. Quincy

Here's a picture of the 3.2 liter Carrera car toolkit. Never mind it's in French, the picture says it all...
http://membres.lycos.fr/carrera911/manuel/indexnew.htm go to page 57 and click BTW, this is a French repro of the entire Carrera booklet

talk about luck, Bob's thread with his pic of his toolkit, the image is not there. The French page is blank (think you need your login). Can anybody else see Bob's image from the thread above? If you can, please repost it here, thanks.
