Gotta be the simpler issue which is no issue at all really.

To flip the cams upside down you would have to go through myriad backward steps. Seems unlikely.

If your sure #1 is in firing (valves closed), TDC is on #1 on the pulley, simply lift out the dizzy and align the rotor to #1 mark, re-install dizzy, then put the wires back on in the correct firing order..

The whole distributor is 180 deg off you can tell by the green wire location in this pic.
The green wire should be facing the fan.

Thanks everyone for helping me figure this out. Valves are all adjusted and ready to go. I'll flip the dizzy and reattach the wires appropriately.
