I saw Freeze 12 retailed locally. Does anyone have any experience with this product and how does it compair with R 12?

My car was converted to Frigic-12, which is roughly equivalent, I think, to Freeze 12. Different trade names for the same product maybe.

It's better than R134a, not *quite* as good as Freon R-12. From what I've heard, at least. The A/C in my car has never worked.

Freeze-12 is composed of 80% 134a and 20% 142. The 142 is in there to move the mineral oil around. The overall performance is similar to 134a, but the advantage is that you don't have to flush the system to remove the mineral oil and add ester oil. The big drawback though is that if the 142 leaks out first, the remaining 134a can't move the mineral oil. You then lose your compressor.
