John, here is a photo of the Smart Racing bars installed. The black bolt through the spring plate is what has been breaking. I have also bent the drop link attaching the bar to the spring plate.

Sorry, file is too big. I shot it on the smallest setting possible. I have struggled with this photo thing forever. No idea how these guys get their pictures to show up.

Anyway shoot me an email if you would like me to try and send you the shot.

Jeff,
Please make sure that you put plenty of grease in between the bar and the bushing. Also, check that you have no preload on the bar when the car is on the ground, not on jackstands. They are great bars and I think you will be very happy with them. I have 25 track days on mine so far with no problems. This has included a few lawn mowing excursions at Sebring and Limerock.

Cheers, James

jphillips-998,
To resize the photos so they'll upload within the size limitations, you'll need a photo editing program like Photoshop but without all the HP that program provides. There are several shareware programs out there that will allow you to modify the image size. GraphicConverter is one such program.

Try these settings: 72 dpi
Image width: 500-600 pixels

Hope this helps,
Sherwood Lee

Thanks Sherwood, there is a "quality" slide on my "save as" button that I found. This is set at the smallest camera setting and 50% quality. The original was 167 KB, this is now 20 KB.

Your "save as" button is dropping information out of the image instead of changing its physical dimensions. The result is a large, but poorer quality image. I suggest getting the software. You'll have better control over your images.
