Talking Compression check

What do I need to do this at home, how much will it cost me and how the heck do I do it?

Tom

You need a compression tester. Remove all spark plugs. screw the tester into a spark plug hole and run the starter for 5 or 10 seconds. Be sure to pull the fuel pump relay or make sure somehow that the system is not delivering fuel.

Read the gauge on the compression tester and go to the next cylinder. The actual testing procedure takes just about 15 minutes. Accessing the spark plugs is harder than the compression test itself.
