Just found my next plastidip project.
Thanks ESA

The color matching matte finish or stripes is NOT odd! It's different and I think pretty tasteful.

I am currently contemplating the exact idea but with a checker pattern on my engine lid only. Guards red gloss and matte checkers... COOL

I like this, too, with the tone on tone black. I'm not a fan of the whole hood being matte black - It just looks unfinished...

Okay, I grew up in the eightees and checkerboard vans. Here's my "cheap trick" entry!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1393087440.jpg

There's an anthracite grey color from plasti dip that looks cool. I had a boring white helmet and dipped it this winter. Maybe I do something like this to the good and engine lid?

Anybody done this on a Targa? Would love to see pics...

I really like Esa911's hood, and that anthracite grey is cool as well. I finished two more photoshop experiments, and one has grey similar to the anthracite. Thanks for the inspiration for learning how to mess with the dual tone thingees on photoshop!

Could use black wheels to match.

Hey Jeff- If you want to do the whole car let me know. I found a guy here locally that I'm going to use to wrap my car when I get to that point. He'll come to you and wrap the whole car. He drives an E92 BMW M3 wrapped in matte blue with carbon fiber engine and trunk lids material. He'll do my 911 with some race graphics for $1500, including wrapping into the door jams. (and yes that means the car won't be grand prix white anymore)

Wow! That's pretty reasonable. But I like the GP White.

I was thinking just the hood and the engine lid, considering anthracite plasti dip but your wrapper might be cool.
