Dumb question about pop off valve
I've read lots about pop off valve for CIS cars and even know how/where they fit in a normally aspirated cars.
But where does it fit for a 930? In fact, I remember reading somewhere that the turbo doesn't really need it. So, what's the verdict? thanks...

the turbo has a metal intake, not plastic like normally aspirated 911s 73-83, so if it did backfire, the intake would not blow up. the turbo HAS a pop off valve, but it is really a bypass valve that redirects air back around the turbo when the throttle is closed between shifts, so the boost pressure against the closed throttle doesn't stall the turbo.

John, thanks for the explanation...
It sounds like there is no need for a separate CIS pop off valve for the turbo then? Any idea where is the bypass valve for the turbo?
