Some of the best had been mentioned, but my recommendations:
RETRO-SPORT(.com) @ Berkeley, CA. does some work that gets it right with racing flavor. Website speaks for itself ![]() |

What about Freddy Hernandez(spell?). He seems to do some really nice work, and there are some threads right here that show his level of detail.

Jones Autowerks in San Antonio, Tx is one of the best. They have done Pebble Beach cars and several recent early RS restorations.

I second Dave DiMaria. May be the top 901 guy anywhere.

Sounds like a very nice project there. Feel free to call for consultation or possible restoration. Best wishes, Freddie

Restor 911
The only person I would consider is Ed Mayo in Euless, Texas 817-540-4939. He has won his class at Parade Comcoour or finished in the top three places each year for the past 4 or 5 years. What's even better is he has done it with a different car each year.
He also does the Tech quiz each year at Parade and there is a super article on one of his own cats in Excellence this month You could not do Amy better than ED

Do you want the big trophy? Go to Bruce, Paterak or Rhode Scholars. Stepping down a notch prices will get cheaper (not by much though) and you'll have more choices.
I'm hearing about more $20,000 paint jobs all the time. If the car needs body work it quickly jumps to $100,000. Make sure you tell the shop how much money you have. They might very well decide to turn the job down. Also plan on it taking a couple of years. Richard Newton Car Tech Stuff |
