Hey Guys,
I was getting mad due to the fact that my SC was handling like *****! .. well i know why now.. the rear sway bar centric(sp) bolt was missing the lock nut and so it had just been moving all around and screwed the threads all to crap! so I removed it and will only drive it back and forth to work until i get a new bolt.. not hard driving at all! so what can happen by doing this .. I would think NOTHING! if i simply take it easy!till i fix it! but i have been wrong before! hahahah So what could go wrong!? any info would be helpful... i am hoping you guys simply tell me it's fine to do,as long as I drive easy which i plan on doing. I would say have Pelican overnight the bolt nut and washers to you.. or Stoddard.
Losing the one fastener distributes ther loads to the remaining fasteners

Tim,
The other three bolts on the left and right arms are VERY TIGHT.. I removed the entire sway bar as to not allow anymore uneven torque or stress on the remaining hardware of the sway bar.. do you think it will be ok to run it w/out the sway until I can get the replacement bolts? |

Thanks Tim,
Yep i WANT to replace it ASAP! I don't like the idea of doing it but i kinda have no real choice at the momment. It seem's to be the bolt that the sway bar mounts up to on the trailing arm if ya know where i am talking about... not the double bolt Sway bar mount brackets ... but hte point where it bolts to the inside of the trailing arm... it's a $36.00 bolt, of course it had to be the most exspensive on the whole damn trailing arm. hahahaha! It's seems to be My "Irish luck"(which means NONE AT ALL!) hahaha kicking in again! Thanks again Tim.. I was simply looking for a bit of back on the daily driving thing until i get another one! Thanks E, McKenna 78SC

Your car will understeer like crazy, that will be all you really have to worry about.
Originally 911's didn't even come with rear sway bars.

Swaybar smaybar. I've lost a rear sway twice at the track and both times I thought "hmm, too much roll, guess it's time to get bigger bars". Losing the rear bar will just make your car handle/plow like a "normal" car.
