Driver power window and driver turn signal failure

Looking for direction to chase two distinct electrical issues that appear to have happened at the same side. 1988 930, both window switches on the driver side fail to open either window, while the passenger side switch works fine. Also, driver side turn signal blinks rapidly on the dash while the lights themselves light up but do not blink. Passenger side signals work correctly. Thoughts as to whether they are related and any past experiences to impart are appreciated.

Anyone with any thoughts on this? If not I guess we need to address the issues separately.

I use my driver side window controls several times a day. I keep two spares in the car as they seem to last about two years before crapping out on me. Same indications, the passenger side mounted switch works fine. Try swapping your passenger mounted switch to the driver's side (either position) and see if it works. If so, buy a few replacements.

Blinkers-could be the turn signal relay mounted behind the instrument panel.

Thanks for the input. I will check the switches, just seemed unlikely both would fail at the same time and in concert with the driver side only fail on the turn signals.

As to the driver-side (only issue, I'd look at the master switch...

Turn signals, another matter. You've (possibly) a flaky connection somewhere Look closely at ground integrity). Equally, could be a bulb seating issue (or a wrong bulb). You haven't changed any bulbs recently? (blinking rapidly is certainly a classic symptom)

Also,..are you saying the window failure made is ALWAYS (and only) happening at the SAME TIME as the blinker issue?

Best,

Doyle
