PET question

Hello- Since I upgraded to windows 7 from 4P on my desktop, the PET cd will open, but not go past page 2 or so for any of the different models. It runs fine on my laptop, although I use Firefox mostly on it. Is there a trick to use PET on win 7, or a workaround ? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's window's 7 that's the problem. I have window's 7 at work and home and I am having the same problem every since I upgraded my adobe flash. I don't know the answer yet but I'm going to ask my IT guy when he gets back in town on Monday.

Try updating Adobe Reader, or uninstall reinstall. It is a PDF file. You using this link?

So you are saying the PET is built around XP and you have to fake it out (if fake out mode is available) to run on a later operating system?

Adobe is not able to handle legacy files without "emulation" mode?

Must be something in the file that is unique?

PET question

Weird, runs fine on my win7 machines. Both home and ultimate versions. Both 32 and 64 bit versions.

Running the free Adobe X reader or whatever is the latest it works fine.

Just tried it on a win7 pro machine at work, with Internet Explorer, and would not work. Tried with Google Chrome, and it worked.

The plot thickens.

I run Firefox with the 64bit 7 Windows.

Timmy2 - which browser(s) are you running?

I haven't used the CDs in ages, but if you are running into a problem opening PDFs in your browser, you might try disabling the Adobe Reader plugin/add-on in the browser settings.
Then the PDF will open in an Adobe Reader or Acrobat window, rather than in your browser window. This is usually a little more stable, from my experience.

I prefer to download and open the PDFs:
