Targa glass height when fully down

Hi,

as you can see in the pictures, the glass of my targa doors doesn't fully retract (yes, they still miss the felt, but they would still stick out). The drivers door glass goes a bit more down than the one on the passenger side.

Is this the normal stance for targa windows or should I try to adjust the lower stop?

Thanks, Manfred

Leave it alone. That's where it's supposed to be.

My 1973.5 windows stick just a bit over the rubber wiper in the front and are fully retracted in the rear. I would say about half of what you are showing. If you can get a look at the factory manual (i do not have one) it should give you the correct settings. Perhaps someone here can provide that data and possibly a scan of the appropriate page.

great question - mine hang much lower, but also don't go up enough. Thanks for posting those pics - now I definitely see that I need an adjustment.

My '79 Traga, which I bought brand new, the windows never completely retracted. It was always uncomfortable to rest my left arm on the door top with the window completely down.

My 81 targa goes down all the way but on the drivers window goes up about 1/4 inch to high so when you close the door it doesn't go in the top rubber it goes on the outside
I'm gonna try and adjusted tomorrow I'll let you know how it goes
