The Auto Atlanta experience....
So, bought some parts from Auto Atlanta because they were not available from Pelican.
A small rubber gasket and the large elbow rubber connection from the MAF to the throttle body. First, it took two weeks and a email notice form me to get them to ship the stuff, but most importantly the parts were of piss poor quality. The small rubber gasket was way too small, hard like plastic and had moulding marks. The elbow tube, which originally is made from high grade rubber looked like Ronald Mcdonald had made it from hardened old bi-cycle tyres. The quality of the rubber is so low that I had to heat it in the oven to soften it up before I could install it ![]() Further more it has a lot of "air-bubble" holes on the entire surface, so I guess that it wont last 37 years like the first one did. When I filed a complaint they first ignored it, then when I wrote again the issued me a refund for the small gasket that broke when I tried to fit it. But no appology or nothing, Thank you Auto Atlanta.......... you wont be seeing my business again

I've used at Atlanta before for a particular part that no one else has, ie. SWB passenger side Tow Board retaining bracket. They were very slow to deliver, but when they're the only game in town, you gotta suck it up and be patient.

I live in north Georgia, about 30 minutes from Auto Atlanta, and if they were the only source for a part I needed I still would not give them a penny of my money. I'd rather pay someone to make the part for me if it's something I couldn't make myself. After a few dealings with them, face to face, I'll NEVER go back there!! In my opinion, they are the "Motor Meister" of the southeast.....

Ordered parts from them once. Very slow to ship. Won't order from them again even if they are the only one to "have" the part.

Maybe this should be a sticky? Here: Lesson learned, buy from Pelican, NOT Auto Atlanta!

I live in Atlanta and not that far from AA. They have been at the Marietta location for many years. I have purchased parts for several 911's and my older 944 (in person) many times and have never had an issue with price or quality.

AA is a pretty hot topic in 914 forums.

I bought into a group buy from AA a few years back, even though I should have known better. 9 months later the extremely poor fitting tail light lenses finally show up. They are still sitting in a box in my garage.
The only (and last) order I've made with AA.

a 914 owner here. typical automobile atlanta bs. crap parts, crap shipping, crap customer service, crap return policy. the staff seems to have no problem lying to customers. never, NEVER, agree to purchase any of their reproduction junk (your's prob is and you NEED to ask. every time). all the crappyness is the prime reason most (if not all) 914 owners avoid king george and his minions.
christiandk, was your local porsche dealership or stoddard unable to help you with your parts needs? you might try Parts Haven also. sign up at 914club.com. that's george's baby these days. post your gripe in the garage forum there. kevin
