Just did mine. Easy, and so much brighter. Well worth it. |
Engelbert,
I take it you have tested the turns in regard to needing a different turn signal flasher. Please let us know as I would like to order a full set of LED bulb replacements. And, if you could perhaps you could post a few photos at night of the LEDs installed. Thanks |
Hello Mike,
I still need to test it with the new flasher, and also want to add the LED in the tach and make sure it all work together, so it can also be ordered as a complete kit. Thanks Engelbert |
OK here we go.
I have now a complete set of LED's including the following: Front: LED for turning signal/parking light, and side marker. http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/front_01.jpg Rear: LED for turning light, Back up light, Tail light/Brake light, and side marker http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/Rear_02.jpg Dash indicator: LED's and wire setup, plus the correct flasher relay, and instructions. I will have these sets ready for sale in about 4-6 weeks for $175 per set. I will take pre-orders for the first 10 set's for $150 shipped. Thanks Engelbert |

LED Lamps for Brake, Backup, Turning Signal Lights
I took some pictures, these are all with bright white LED's.
I let the camera adjust for the light, so they maybe a bit off. Here are the front parking / side marker light. http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/front_led.jpg Rear Tail Light only http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/...-tail-only.jpg Rear Brake Light only http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/...brake-only.jpg Rear Tail and Brake Light http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/...tail+brake.jpg Rear Flasher http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/...asher-only.jpg Rear Backup Light, this put's out a lot of light. http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/...ackup-only.jpg The red lenses look a lot lighter in the pictures than they look in person. As soon I get some red and yellow LED's for the tail/brake and turning lights, I will do another test, however, they way this looks with the white LED's I don't think that the red or yellow would make it look much better, but it's worth a try. Cheers Engelbert |
Subscribed. Also a thumbs up for the gauge LEDs. they look/work great.

I got some red LED's and installed them to see the difference. Amazingly there is a difference.
Here the turning signal with the white LED http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/LED_Blinker_W.jpg Here with the Red one http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/LED_Blinker_Red.jpg So, I will have them available as follows: Front: LED for turning signal/parking light, and side marker. These will be white. http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/front_01.jpg Rear: LED for Tail light/Brake light RED, turning light RED, Back up light Bright White, and side marker RED http://airboxer.com/carmagic/images/Rear_02.jpg Cheers Engelbert |
If I may suggest, amber for us with Euro Lenses.

Be happy to and compare them against Daniel Stern's recommend Nickle Plated HONDA bulbs.
PMing you my addy |
I suspect that yellow will work well with amber turn signal lenses. Looking forward to the result.

I got some bulbs from etarga in Phoenix about two years ago. He didn't have exterior lights then. I am interested.

I have read extensively much of the numerous threads on LEDs, I purchased a set of the vintage instrument LEDs from EngleBert which I will install this weekend.
Now I'm exploring LEDs for the exterior lights; front turn signal/marker, rear brake, turn signal, backup and third brake. Another member on this forum Spoke has these elaborate LED boards with mounting replacements, which he has put considerable R&D into. This seems to me overkill, maybe I'm missing something. What if any is the advantage over what Englebert is offering with just single plug in LED replacements for the bulbs. I like simplicity and elegance. Has anyone considered both and chose one over the other? And why? I do like the idea of having brighter lights both front and rear, it's not an immediate concern been driving the car for 20 years the way it is, but something I will do in the upcoming weeks/months. I'd like to make an informed decision. Thanks in advance for your input. John |
Hi Engelbert,
Are these available now or coming soon? I realized after posting my last message they are not yet posted on your website, and your last post contained the key word "will". I'll patiently wait availability. John |

They on order now and I should have them on hand by middle of June. Sorry, but I want to make sure the LED are good and they work for the red and amber lenses. Again, Thanks for the input. Engelbert |
