Rebuilt Speedo Not Working

Finally got to try out rebuilt speedo from last fall. I'm not getting any reading-do I have the connections correct? From my '89 targa. Thanks Carl

Not my picture......but it looks like you need to move the green wires next to the brown ground wires then switch the 2 white/red to where you had the green wires.
Then the red/black goes on the left most terminal.

Yikes. Have you had any smoke come out of that thing? Putting 12v into the signal in could kill it.
