Whait I did instead of going to AutoFest

I know I should have gone, it looks incredible, I could have put off this project but I've been working on it for so long I wanted to get the old car back on the road.
I welded RS flares (thanks Pelican..), installed factory rear RS bumpers, painted the rear half of the car and finally got it assembled this weekend. I was so tired of not having this project complete I decided to skip Ventura and work on the 73.
I'm not really happy with my paint job so looks like I'll have something to do this winter.
The last decision is the rocker panel deco, I may go with the factory piece, I just have not had the guts to check on the price yet....

"Old" car, Bruce? Looks pretty nice to me.

BTW, hope to see you at the ALMS/Laguna Seca this coming weekend. I'll be crewing for Woodhouse Racing Speed TV World (Touring) Challenge, BMW 325. Come by the rig and say hi.

Doug, I'll look you up. I'll be there all day every day so I'm sure
I'll find you. Should be a great weekend. Our advance ticket sales are up over last year so hopefully a good crowd.
Next year I want to see if we can organize a Porsche parking area. We'll have one for the October 4/5 race for R Gruppe and probably Porsches in general.
Yup, Aubergine and the paint does look pretty good from about 6 feet, I just got some junk in the gun during spraying, also a little ripple or two in the body work that I could not see in the lousy lighting I have in my garage. I should probably have had it
painted by a pro but I don't know when to quit.
