Need help identifying these struts

Hello,
I am in the process of replacing my strut cartridges on my 1967 912. I thought I had Koni housings up front because of the color, but could not find any koni stamp or part number on them. To my surprise there is Bilstein cartridges inside of them. I found one casting mark on the lower inside portion of the strut housing. The gland nut on the replacement Koni insert is a different pitch and size, so maybe someone painted these housings. The bilstein cartridge was only threaded about half way into the housing, so I am not sure if that is correct or if the housings might something else. Just hoping someone will recongnize them so I can order the correct cartridges. Thanks

Just a follow up, I called Bilstein and they could not locate the number stamped in the housing and also claim they do not make an insert for the koni housing. If anybody can give me an idea what I have here, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I think you are right. I just found a tag from the bilstein down in the tube with a part number F4-P36-0111-H0. My research tells me the new bilsteins are P36-0111-M512 for Boge housings. Looks like someone painted my strut housings.

My next question, is the only difference between the Koni insert for Koni vs Boge the gland nut? I would hate to have to send everything back and reorder the other inserts, if I can just get the correct gland nuts!
