I was chatting him up...I was skeptical at first, but I see he's trying hard. I reached out in Japanese, which I'll do again... I think it's great he's a part of our site. If only it were the Rah Welt guy...

Maybe it's a unique code?
I posted the sticker on Rennlist as well. No responses.

There is a CXX country code called "Special" - C98 maybe. If HIDEMI's car is that unique, it would go into that category, maybe?

There is also a separate numeric code for RHD. So if a person ordered a RHD car for the US it would have the CXX code and then the all numeric code for RHD.

I am stumped.

Rah Welt!
It would be a thing of the very famous shop in Japan.
It seems to be very far in the district from my residence.

Hide San, I've traveled to your village a few times. It's very beautiful when the cherry blossoms are blooming...I payed homage at your temple for Ronan samurai.

I hope this made sense, I am still learning

Hi Rich!
Several times, too I have been coming to Japan!
I was very surprised. Did you go to Fukuoka?
Indeed, the cherry blossoms are very beautiful time of full bloom!

Thank you!
So far, there are no other problems with the car.
The problem can be resolved in our car family and friends have helped me.
I think if the matter of the clutch could not be resolved, and ask him at this site.

HIDEMI, I can not solve your problem, but can add that there are other mystery D codes out there.

I have a UK RHD 84 3.2. It has the C16 country code, but this is followed by D24.

I have never been able to find what this was either.

Hi Mark!
D code seem to have existed in your car!
I was described at the same time D code and the C code.
The D code number, is not a country code number, I feel like that is has been.
I want to solve the D code of each other.
It is fun.

So, you are missing a country code, and you have an unidentified code.

Have you tried contacting anyone at Porsche?

The Cxx codes are country codes for special equipment that pertain to that country.
The Dxx code is a year specific Group Option that combines several separate option codes.

The Group Options generally have a letter as the first character that will change from year to year, then the next two characters define the group code. It is difficult to determine what each Group Option consists of.
