Thanks! B&B S-Hose Replacement Installed
Thanks for the help and a HUGE THANKS to P.D. for the part (PM me your Pelican name & I'll edit the shout out...).
I installed the B&B s-hose oil line replacement this afternoon. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1403299418.jpg I had to bend the the oil line (connects crossover pipe to T-stat) outward / toward the wheel by ~ 1/2" in order to fit the B&B line in what appeared to be the best configuration/position: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1403299930.jpg The B&B oil pipe could be installed in reverse without having to bend the other oil line, however this position produced direct contact between the pipe and the header at the oil tank end. Searched photo's and it seemed some people install it this way though. One end of the B&B pipe makes an immediate 90° upward bend - I installed this end on the oil tank since it provided about 1/2" clearance to the B&B header collector. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1403299822.jpg The other end of the pipe came straight out and then angled up - which if installed at the oil tank end would result in metal oil line pipe direct contact with the header. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1403300007.jpg Getting closer to start-up. Gordo,
glad to help with the B&B oil pipe. I think the difference in fit may be the hard line from side of case out to where the fabricated line attaches (flywheel end). Mine has slight angle back and up to provide extra clearance AND it also has a bracket to support the end where the fabbed oil pipe connects (critical that you have this support according to Dr. Timmins, and I agree with him)....lots of vibration.
