Neutronics ?

Has enyone ever heard of this. I have one under the drivers seat and would like to know more about it. Are they any good. Can this be removed.
Car specs: 85 911 Euro 3.2, SSI , 2in2out muffler.

Does anyone else have one of these on there Euro model. It looks like it was installed when they brought the car over, atleast that is what I have read. I found them on the 928's.
Is this holding up power? anyone

In essence this box allows the use of an O2 sensor on early 3.2 Euro cars that didn't come with O2 sensors stock.

The early Euro 3.2 DME did not have internal provisions to operate an O2 sensor in closed-loop. This box evaluates an O2 sensor signal and then tweaks the signals for intake temperature and cylinder head temperature of the stock DME to modify the mixture.

In theory this is a good idea. However, these tweaks will now happen all the time because this box doesn't "know" about part throttle vs. full throttle. So I have my reservations. At WOT you might leave some power on the table since the mixture for full power should be a little richer than stoichiometric. Here you either have to be rich all the time or sacrifice power. It also makes chipping the car pointless.

The O2 sensor was mostly required to make sure the catalytic converter was running under optimal conditions. So if you don't run a CAT you really don't need this box.

If you really need or want an O2 sensor you can have the DME modified to accept the O2 sensor input. Modifications would to get the late U.S. stock chip and some minor additional components. It would be a much cleaner implementation IMHO.
