Bursch headers interfering with omega spring
When setting up my clutch, I noticed that the omega spring was hitting the header. Is this common, or am I doing something wrong. Thanks...

Common with SSI's. Just hammer down the lip to give yourself alittle extra clearance.

Can you show me a pic? The only thing to hammer would be a primary, from what I cam tell. These are headers, not exchangers on them.

I have a '78 SC with Bursch headers and there is about 2" clearance between the Omega spring and the closest primary.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have the same issue. What did you end up doing to avoid this?

See if there is plenty of clearance to remove the left lower valve cover.
Bursch made many headers. Call Doug to make sure you have the right one. I had to talk to him to make sure I had the right one for a 3.2 that would accommodate an O2 sensor.
