Thanks Arne!

Yes, we've already made a 3.4 badge Techweenie. We can make any set of numbers, and more, that you want.

Rebadge.com 04-08-2015 04:12 AM

Arne, I didn't think of this, but would you please verify the description of the 11.5? Is that measuring outside to outside, center to center, or left side to left side? It sounds like outside to outside because shortening it allows more play, but I want to be 100% sure. Thank you again!

Oh okay! Then the info I need is the spacing of the mesh grille beneath, as well as the depth of the grille; how long the studs need to be. I'm planning on mounting the studs one behind the 3, one behind the 2

Thank you Arne!

I am interested in a 2.0 badge for my 912e

I am looking for a silver anodized 2.0 badge for my 912e and a silver anodized 3.2 badge for my Carrera both have plastic rear deck grills that will need pin mounts.

Andrew

Thank you Arne!

On the plastic grill as used from the mid-70s through '89, the openings in the base mesh would allow anything from 1.0" to 2.0" spacing. So 1.5" spacing would allow the most flexibility. My badge from the previous maker has stud spacing of approx. 1.7" (as best I can eyeball it w/o dropping the A/C condenser).

Stud length should be .75-.85".

Rebadge.com 04-23-2015 10:25 AM

I received conflicting information. I was advised to space at 2.25" and use 1" studs.

I have two sizes of studs to use for future orders, so I will see how well received this first set up is. Thank you again!

Arne2 04-23-2015 11:28 AM

Kyle, 2.25" w/1" studs should work fine. The 2.25" spacing would move the studs one hole farther apart than mine is, the only downside I can think of on that is it might lack the ability to fine-tune the position of the emblem horizontally on the grill. Would be a more positive fit, I suspect.

Same here last year and never got it nor a refund either. I had luck here when someone sold me his extra badge.

Was this resolved and did you guys get your badges?

Perhaps I missed it, but what is the pricing for the badges with the studs.

Hi Alex, I'm not sure about their past vendor issues, but we started providing pieces since January [2015]. Badges are $125 plus shipping.

Thanks for your interest!

I got in touch with Patrick Motorsports today, to see if they were planning to make the 3.2 badge (they have the 3.6 version on their website) and apparently they are going to do a batch of different numbers within the next few months. Their existing badges are $48, so I'm guessing they'll be in the same ballpark.

I was initially going to do the Patrick but thought these might have been a bit cheaper. They charge around 12$ for shipping but still decent price I suppose.

grill badges

Any idea of whether these are still being made ?
Looks like the rebadge.com website is down....

Patrick motorsport only has 3.6 and 3.8 badges

Zaz 05-05-2016 07:12 PM

Try to email kyle@rebadge.com. I got mine this time last year

Draden 05-05-2016 11:09 PM

Hopefully Kyle is still around. It's been over a year now and I still love mine .

Almost to the point that Ive debated changing the attach to Velcro so I can remove it to keep people from trying to steal it when I leave the car unattended (Im joking about the Velcro however I have seen a few people look close at it then look around to see if any was watching as if they were going to try to see if they could acquire it by five finger discount)

it's looks that good still and everyone comments on it !!!

Hey I guess I actually have the prototype. If Kyle isn't making them anymore, I'll consider letting mine go for a mere 1 million. Ha ha. Not.

Albeit, It is very true to form in the squarish Porsche font, other badges just look too square.

Kyle did a great job putting just enough radius in the corners to give it that Porsche font look without it looking harshly square

Seriously. I love mine, I can attest it hasnt tarnished a bit. Looks as good today as the day I got it.

You spend all that time (in my case, 9 years) collecting parts, researching the specs on the real engines and engineering yourself the parts that can't be found in publication. machining and assembling yourself trying to match or exceed the real Rsrs performance when building that shuffle pinned high compression twin plug engine. And yes, when it's running, they hear it but it's nice to show what the hell it really is even thought they are going to ask anyway. You know?, you just want to badge it anyway with something accurate to what it is and with a product of quality that is equally worthy of the quality you put into your build.

I'm surprised the factory kept the 2.7 badge on the 49 real 1973 RSRs I guess they weren't going to chance not qualifying for the homolgumation

Hopefully you guys can locate him cause it's those little touches like this that start some of the best conversations at car events. And isn't that what it's all about?

Hi guys! I apologize for not responding sooner!

Draden, your review is so very much appreciated, thank you! THAT is exactly why we do this. From gear head to gear head, it's the details that make it. Thank you so much!

Yes, our website is 'down'. I've been putting most of my time into social media; the links are on the site, it's mostly for photo and finishing preference reference, some fun car videos peppered throughout.

Badges are still available, any designation you would like.

Our pieces are of metal, not plastic or composite, and receive powder coating or hand buffing/polishing for durability and aesthetics alike.

Every order is made to order so it's hard to set up a store online, plus I prefer personal communication to ensure client satisfaction and FAQ response as timely as possible.

I genuinely thank all of you for your interest and support! I love doing this, and most of that is because of how much you love our work. It's a lot of fun, you should check out our other designs for other makes! Pretty cool stuff!

Cheers gents, enjoy the season!

Kyle

Here is a shot of a few different engine sizes. The backers are aluminum and powder coated black, with stainless steel mounting studs pressed in the back; the numbers and periods are brushed stainless steel, attached with 3m double sided tape designed specifically for car emblems. Enjoy!

Hi Tony, are you asking about their acrylic ones, or our stainless steel pieces?
