Two bolt intake flanges?

I was about to waterjet some flanges for a intake I am designing and started to wonder if there are any two bolt intake flanges with a injector boss already? From what I understand, the 3.6 motors had a similar part... These could help simplify my manifold fabrication...

Thanks

The 3.2 intakes have two bolt flanges and injector bosses - the 3.6 (AFAIK) have 3 bolt flanges. I looked into this when I thought about running 3.2 injection on a 3.6 engine...

I am working on a similar project. Clewett used to list something like what you need in their catalog, not sure if still available. Also Chris Powell and Rothsport, and I am sure others have put 964/993 style intakes on older engines with 2 bolt intakes. They might know where to go for that kind of thing or may even make it themselves. The 964/993 intake adapters are plastic, with an injector bung but they are incompatible with your 2 bolt head as they have a 3 bolt pattern to match the later heads. I think some people make adapter plates.. which you could do, and if I recall, you have pretty significantly ported heads so they might not be too much of a mismatch. I have had my SC intake ports opened up to 39mm.. I was mulling over the adapter plate idea but the injectors don't really point where I want them to if I do that. I am thinking I will try and make some intake adapters from aluminum and also make or use a plastic or phenolic spacer like the 3.2 carrera ones, to keep the head heat away from the manifold and injectors. Keep us posted on what you do and I will try and post when I finally get around to trying my idea.

We area just getting ready to gear up and make billet alum intake adapters to bolt 964/993 intake to two bolt heads. Prototypes have already been finished. Trying to gauge interest at this time. The more we do the less the cost. If your interested please call 775 673 1300 or email me jon@ebsracing.com for details.

Thanks
