)7 Targa Hatch Problem

07 Targa rear hatch won't open. It unlatches and if you push on it from the inside it opens about 1" and then hit a secondary stop and will not open further. If you let go of it the close cycle activates and pulls it down tight. Anybody?

You may not get a quick answer on this one - mostly earlier cars are discussed here. BUT, I am sure someone will step forward. Best of luck.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a better place to get an answer? I think the struts may be bad, but don't see how to replace them if the hatch won't open. Thanks

Try asking on the 996/997 forum, they might be more attuned to the later 911s.

Good luck!

I've been driving a Porsche for over 30 years and have never used one of these forums. Thanks for the info.

You'll find them invaluable, the amount of knowledge that's being shared is amazing ( and some is even correct ).
