SSI quality

Greetings:

I have heard a lot of talk about SSI heat exchangers quality before Dansk bought out SSI. Since Dansk bought out SSI, has the quality suffered? Other than the cost, is there any reason not to buy "new" SSI heat exchangers. Anybody owned both before and after that can comment?

SSIs were hand made by John Daniels and his assistant. No idea how Dansk does it. IMO they simply bought out John to control the market. First act was to raise the price.
