Restoring 1989 Carrera Cabriolet to Stock HiFi Sound System

Folks:

I have a 1989 Carrera Cabriolet and the prior owner replaced the stock stereo system with a system with huge door speakers, etc. After 7 years of staring at speakers in my door that are the size of frisbees I finally want to take action and return the car to stock. I'm not looking to improve the audio performance of a stock system. Frankly, the sound of the engine is sufficient music for me. I just want the car to look stock and have a factory-functioning stereo system.

I ordered a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche and all it says is that the car came with a Blaupunkt Reno head unit (which I have) and a "HiFi Sound System."

A few questions: (a) Did an '89 Cab with that stereo configuration have tweeters? (b) were the door speakers square or round? (c) were the rear speakers square or round? and (d) did the system come with a separate amplifier and if so, what was it?

I have found reproduction square speaker grills on sierramadre.com; and reproduction speakers on lakewell.com. If my car had tweeters I can't find OEM examples anywhere.

I would be grateful for any thoughts, tips, insights, guidance, help that anyone can offer.

any chance you can post the photos here? i have a lightly modified sound system in my '88 cabriolet, and while i have no plans to return it to stock, i would like to see how different it is, since i am not the original owner - thanks
