89 Carrera : Engine bay Wire ID

I have an 89 Targa 3.2 and just put the engine back into the car after a complete rebuild. I have a couple of wires that I did not mark and dont remember where they go. They are in the engine bay drivers side...One is: brown/white stipe the other is Red/black stripe See pic and let me know.

Rear window wiper? Rear fog light? Seems like one of those extra wire groupings that the USA cars may not use.

All the wires in the engine bay are pretty clear where they go. So when you've got these that you can't find a location for, they're probably not connected to anything on your car.

Don't forget to plug in the fuel injection harness on top of the shock tower. Lots of people forget to plug that one back in. Hope the rebuild turns out great for you.

Good choice getting the main engine fuel lines rebuilt. Just make sure to put some protective covering on that braided stainless sheathing. That stuff has an impressive ability to chafe/cut through most anything it is touching!

Wiring ID

OK Flat6pac and KTL...that makes sense...I think this pair of wires must have been tucked away and out of sight prior to me removing the engine...and kow as I was sorting things out they popped out and I thought they needed a home... The fuel lines were done by Bill Hippie at Amazon Hose in Tampa two years ago. The cool thing I had them do in addition to how they normally redo the main engine fuel line was to put a flexible hose end on the return line. They installed a threaded fittings on both ends so this short line can be replaced with having to R&R entire return line as pictured in this diagram (red line). Replacing that puppie with the engine in the car without a lift is a bit of a bear. This set[up turned out great! Thanks for the reply guys!!

Ktl

Drove all the new GTS's (Boxster, Cayman, Panamera) last week at the
Porsche World Road Show as Disney Speedway here in Orlando...It does make you want to FIND A WAY to buy one...absolutely fantastics cars with incredible technology...I drove my 914/6 to the event and when I got into it afterwards to drive home....well....the contrast is inexplainable....
