what is the difference between the 911 turbo vs rsr body

Who knows? I'm asking about the '73 RSR vs the turbo kits. Are they both 11" rear, 9" front flares? Is it bumpers/extensions that are different on the later "turbo" cars?

Difference is mainly the impact bumpers, RSR was a track car. With the turbo look, you have the "accordian" parts.

If you have the turbo flares, the iroc rsr is simply front and rear bumper. But then you'd have holes in the rockers for the covers that the rsr does not have.

I thought Turbo flares had flat vertical sections on the wheel arches, and the RSR has rounded?

Yep. Side profile of the openings is different, as well.

Are we trying to make a concourse rsr? I'm just saying you can make you're 930 look like one pretty easy. Plus my flares I got from restoration design which they themselves bought from Europe are more rounded than hard edged, which I was happy about. The difference is not huge.
Most people use the turbo flare to get the look. When I was looking I didn't see and rsr flares available much less in the metal flare.

Right, sorry I was thinking of the 74 rsr. Those are more like the turbo flare but still not exact. There are difrences between each car.

True, but only 5% of the population will notice that.

'74 RS 3.0 flares are very similar to the 930 but not the '74 RSR's that were much wider.

I'd been wondering this myself but never bothered to ask. I'd like to eventually swap my (non-original) SC flares for a wider set.

Good info.
