If some one on this site has one and wouldn't mind if I borrowed the cam holding tool for 80.5 and higher cars I would really appreciate it.
Long story short is my 78 sc has one cam with a 46mm nut and the other with the 19mm bolt. I bought the tools for the 46mm nut side but I need that cam holder for the 19mm bolt side. So I would appreciate it if I could borrow one I would of course pay shipping both ways. send me an email @ sidak@vnet.net if you would be willing to do so. Oh the pelican part number just to make sure you know which one I need is PEL-TOL-P237 Thanks in advance Osidak 78 911sc |

I can't help you but I think that the concept is fantastic. There have been so many times that I needed something for literally an hour and thought "I don't wanna buy it!" I think performance or tweeks has a rental program or something but if we had to it would be nice to ship tools around. I would like to try a sychronometer or whatever it is called.
I am DYING for someone to post a need for the shift rod seal replacement so I can very cavalierly chime in with, "no problem, here is how you do it and I'll send the installation tools (2 pieces of PVC that I found that are absolutely perfect and make it so easy). That would be my one contribution! Reminds me of the string a few months ago where everyone was giving away stuff. Joe 68L |

osidak,
When I removed my cam nut, I used a crowsfoot on the cam. It was a 3/8 drive breaker bar and I wedged it against one of the studs. The crows foot for the nut should fit underneath it and you should be able to remove it. Steve |

Unfortunately Steve I have the tool I need to hold the cam on the side that has the 46mm nut. I need to hopefully borrow this tool. http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/images/Tools_folder/tools_cam_bar_P237.JPG I really hate to buy it as it is expensive and I may use it a couple of more times.
During my rebuild I have bought numerous tools that will hardly get used again so I am more than happy to loan out what I have osidak |
