Cool SC EURO Spec search for answers

I was hoping someone out their had at some point come across information about the 911SC EURO (1981-1983).

I currently have a 1980 SC with 9.8:1 compression that I intend on racing in stock "F" class. I have gotten PCA's blessing to rework the car from 1980 USA to 1981 EURO spec.

I have been searching for any information that would tell me what came standard or optional in 1981 on a EURO SC. Was there a sport model produced? At least once source I have found has said the sport versions were made ending in 1981. I was looking for a little more proof than that though.

I think I have the engine parts worked out: compression and a EURO CIS are the only changes I could find.

No surprise, but I am seeing how light I can get the car within the rules and how much HP I can eek out. Any information or leads would be very appreciated!

BTW for all SCWDP guys out there, the P/C upgrade with a pre-74 exhaust is awesome. Torque starts at 3k and pulls strong all the way through 6+. Incredible.

FWIW

I have an '83 SC Euro Targa. The car was originally from Germany and doesn't have many options. I am aware that US cars came standard with more goodies.

Mine does not have central locking, a center console or front fog lights. However it does have a smog pump and a rear fog light.

If this helps feel free to ask more questions.

Paco,

Without a center console...does that mean you car came without A/C? Also, did it have a sport interior or is it all leather? Interesting on the "USA goodies" that is exactly what I am hoping to strip out.

No center console, no A/C but leather interior (this must be an option because I have seen partial leather seats around). Also no rear wiper.

You can check an interior pic in the link under my signature.

I do not know what else US cars have that I do not have. Post a list of things you would like to remove and I will check my car.

BTW if you do not want your center console and/or A/C equipment I am in the market for those.

There was a "Sport" model on the English market. It was actually a normal SC with a number of options as standard. On for example the German market one would have to buy those things as options. As far as I can remember the english "Sport" had front and rear spoiler plus firmer shock absorbers. I think the "Sport" also had the 6 & 7x16 Fuchs with 205/55 and 225/50 tires.
