How to remove the front bumper impact strip 1977 on a 911 S
I would like some information on removing and replacing the black front rubber impact strip on the front bumper on a 1977 Porsche 911S. Wondering if the bumper has to be removed? Thank you.

There is a phillips head screws on each end of the rubber strip. Remove those screws and then slide the strip to one side. You can pull on the strip but that may crack the nylon plastic anchor pins. The strip has a nylon plastic channel set inside it that captures the anchor pins. If you pull, you also risk cracking the channel

+1 what KTL wrote.
I just swapped mine for a new one. The New one will be more pliable then the older one when reinstalling the strip prior to mounting. If you do have to remove the tabs, use two BFS's and work both sides out together.
