3.2 to 3.4

After reading this informative thread, I would appreciate an answer on the following specific situation
my 1987 3.2 has already a 100 cell CAT (as free flow as a pre muffler) AND a free Monty free flow muffler AND a 91 octane Steve wong chip suited for this exhaust set up.
I understand that with this set up I am approx at 230-235 RWHP...
If I now upgrade from a 3.2 to a 3.4 using 98mm big bore pistons and cylinders with 9.8: 1 compression and 964 cams, DONE PROFESSIONALLY, What ADDITIONAL RWHP
COULD I EXPECT TO ACHIEVE?

The short answer is not enough to justify the cost unless you need new P&C's during a full rebuild.

Right now, you are probably making right around 217whp on a DynoJet going to a 3.4L with 964 cams and doing nothing else is probably in the 235whp range.

Do you know for sure what your RWHP # is? Have you dynoed it?
I would be surprised if you where at 230 or more with a 3.2 and that exhaust.
You need a baseline dyno pull before you make changes.
Also don't chase HP numbers as a peak HP # means very little, what's more important is the torque curve and how early it comes in and when it falls off.
A dyno pull will give you that torque curve.

here's a comparison of the thrust available from a healthy 993 3/6 vs a very healthy 3.0SC w/ going though a stock 915, no muss, no fuss, stock reliability and idle

Thats a cool chart. never seen one before.
I'd love to see a 930 engine with 915 gearbox on a chart like that.

3.2 to 3.4

Thanks Evan & Sal for the direct answers...
I have never used a dynojet and my estimates are probably wrong, but I based them on S.W. indirect discussions when I chose my exhaust components and fit his chip.
I love the way the car runs but like everyone else I want more...
I have no intention to do all that now...just planning for the time when an engine job needs to be done. Also buying parts in advance over a year or two has a better effect on cash flow later on.
