TO Bearing Noise
Once the clutch throw out bearing starts making noise what's the expected lifespan? See how bad it gets, or run to the nearest shop? Mine started rattling for the first time the other day. 85K miles on the car now, original clutch replaced at around 30K.

Of course the correct answer is exactly 12 zorgs.
And...as soon as it goes...please tell the rest of us the conversion from zorgs to days...or running hours...thank you. Bob

Well, mine rattled for about 15k before I changed it out as I was unaware that was the issue as it rattled when I got the car..it was still working... I'm pretty sure that is about 15 zorgs minimum.

they can and do make noises for a long time as the grease dries out and then some just seize or fly to bits,quickly,people do cut corners on a clutch change and don't change them when they are suspect.

You can spray some chain saw lube thru the inspection port. I and another pelican just did this to our 915s and it quieted and smoothed out the pedal throw for me, no more gritty feel.
You can actually reach in and tough the T/O bearing and top of the fork. Just be careful to spray straight down on to the T/O bearing. Jim
